i will tell you the 5 top scams you have to be carefull of before coming as a tourist/foreigner to amsterdam. 1. the most important one : never, i mean never : don't buy drugs on the street. it's always a ripoff. besides, there are a lot of coffeeshops where you can almost legally buy weed. why choose the hard way? if you're a user of harddrugs, don't ask the waiters/waitresses in a coffeeshop how to get harddrugs. they will be very offended, even if you suspect the people in the coffeeshop do themselves enjoy harddrugs on a recreational basis. in a coffeeshop they will not sell you harddrugs.
